Northern Suburbs Netball Cancellations Policy (April 2022)
The Year 5-8 Cancellation committee consists of two NSN committee members.
The Year 3-4 Cancellation committee consists of the Year 3 & 4 Coordinator.
The main deciding factor for cancellations is player safety. Once the cancellation process has been invoked the decision is final and applies to all rounds of netball for the age group (Years 5-8). Note that another decision could be made during the morning if weather conditions deteriorate.
The cancellation decision for Years 3-4 age group is made independent of the Year 5-8 age group as the children are younger and weather conditions can change from morning to afternoon.
Weather conditions need to be severe enough to warrant cancellation despite players wearing the schools' registered thermal wear.

Cancellation Process:
Once the decision to cancel the round for an age group is made, the nominated volunteer role(s) will update the NSN Facebook page and NSN website with the cancellation notice. In addition, a text message will be sent to the registered coach for each team. It will be the coach's responsibility to disperse the information to their team.
